William and Linda Brooks Scholarship Endowment

Distributions from the Fund will be used to provide scholarships for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the College of Sciences.

First preference shall be given to students who are NC residents and reside in Watauga and/or Surry counties. Second preference will be given to students who are NC residents and reside in a rural NC county, as identified by the NC Rural Center.

Awards will be determined by the Dean, or their designee, in accordance with the established procedures for awarding need-based scholarships. Awards will be for one academic year and may be renewable based on specific criteria being met; the recipient will be informed of the criteria when the award is made.
