Michael and Karen Schley Foundation Scholarship

To provide need-based undergraduate scholarships for students pursuing a degree in the College of Education. Preference given to students who meet 1 or more of the following criteria, with greater preference given to those who meet a greater number of criteria:
a) Students pursuing a major leading to a K-12 teaching licensure or position
b) Students who are residents of counties in eastern NC (Beaufort, Bertie, Bladen, Brunswick, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Edgecombe, Gates, Greene, Halifax, Harnett, Hertford, Hoke, Hyde, Johnston, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, New Hanover, Northampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Pender, Perquimans, Pitt, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, Tyrrell, Washington, Wayne, Wilson)
c) Students who reside in economically distressed counties, currently defined as Tier 1 or Tier 2 counties
d) Students enrolled in the Transformational Scholarships Program.
