Shannon and David Crouse Family Scholarship

Provides merit- and need ­based scholarships for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Preference will be given to students who meet one or more of the following criteria, with greater preference given to students who meet a greater number of the criteria:
a) Students who are in their first year at NC State University.
b) Students who are enrolled in a soil science related major or concentration.
c) Students who are from the first generation in their family to attend college.
Awards will be determined by the Assistant Director, Academic Programs, or their designee, in accordance with the established procedures for awarding merit- and need­-based scholarships. Awards will be for one academic year and may be renewable regardless of financial need, and based on specific criteria being met; the recipient will be informed of the criteria when the award is made.
