Gary Pearce Political Communications Scholarship

Merit-based undergraduate scholarships for students pursuing a degree in political science and/or communications in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS).

Priority will be given to student applicants as follows:
a) First preference to students who demonstrate an interest in the intersection of media and politics either through their areas of study or through involvement in internships, undergraduate research, work experience, career aspirations and/or co-curricular experiences.
b) Second preference to students who are pursuing degrees in both political science and communications, or a degree in communications with a minor in political science.
c) Third preference to students who are North Carolina residents.

Awards will be determined by the Dean, or their designee, in accordance with the established procedures for awarding merit-based scholarships. Awards will be for one academic year and may be renewable based on specific criteria being met.
