General Shale Scholarship

The donor is establishing this fund to provide support for merit-based undergraduate scholarships for students pursuing a degree in the School of Architecture who have completed at least one material and/or construction course. It is the donor’s preference that, to the extent permitted by law and NC State policy, priority be given to students who are juniors, seniors, and fifth-year students.

Awards will be determined by the Head of the School of Architecture, or their designee, in accordance with established procedures for awarding merit-based scholarships. Awards will be for one academic year and, if funds are available, may be renewable based on specific criteria being met; the recipient will be informed of the criteria when the award is made.
